......so, now my wife is complaining that her Honda is making funny noises only ONE week after the service at Honda (see other post)...took me 2 min to find out that the 'mechanic' forgot to tighten a few bolts.... so here we go again, back to Honda to yell and screeam again tomorrow.... 3 Honda visits in one week.... HEY, this reminds me of the first time i took my Toyota to Ricardo Perez (auth Toyota dealer) and they promised me they could complete the oil service in one day.... that ended up being 6 days without a car...
I wonder if Toyota and Honda in Japan is aware how horrible service, and quality the Panamanian Toyota/Honda dealers are providing to their customers.... Now, there is still Nissan left, and as a matter of principle, thats the brand i will look for first when we need a new car soon...and if 3 strikes, then no more Japanese cars for us, well at least not in Panama.....

..another week in service paradise
You can not save the world, but you can at least try and make a difference, and this is now my mission! After almost 3 years in Panama City, Panama, i feel like sharing all the amazing and funny experiences that i have on weekly basis... sometimes they frustrate you, sometimes you laugh, sometimes someone receives a verbal beating, and you think....was that me, was that little me talking so bad to another person???
I love this country, the people, my Panamanian family, the food, coffee... Panama is a great place... My mission now, is to improve the service level in the city (not country side) THE CITY! It feels like that nobody cares anymore, and the local Panamanian city people have become used to the horrible service in the city... Companies and monopolies only care about profit profit profit... leaving their employess in a position where they, i think, can do nothing more than do what they have been told, no room for flexibility, and no room to go the extra mile for the customer....So here are the stories, that made me go on my mission... all happened within a week...
Monday: My wife delivers car to Honda dealer for service, incl new wiperblades... Tuesday pick up, pay bill, drive off.... Tuesday afternoon rain starts... My wife with two small kids in the car puts on wipers...!!!! Wipers not changed, actually partly removed....How do you drive in Panama rain without wipers.... Back to Honda, yell and scream...
Tuesday: Shopping in El Rey Albrook.... They are out of bags!!! Where do we put our groceries...
Friday: See 100usd Panama hat in Sanbornes (Multiplaza)... is that exploitation of tourists? They go for 25 usd in 5 Mayo..
Sunday: Riba Smith is full ... behind a lazy housewife, with her Blackberry at the check out.... She pays and, waits for the packing boy to pack....she has groceries for 4 weeks, and the packer is buuusy, she is busy on her blackberry! I take two bags and i start packing my stuff as its being bipped... somehow things get mixed... i only find out when i come home..... she got 2 of my things incl tupperware...
Monday: My wifes birthday....wonderful day, no incidents! Pass by Oishi Sushi in Albrook on the way back from Clayton park.... Order Sushi with NO creamcheese.... come home, ready to eat.. guess what! Cremecheese in all of it.....Call Oishi, yell and scream....get credit.. great, and stuck with birthday sushi with cream cheese....My 2 year old son loved it...ummm Quesooo!.... that reminds me off when Sake delivered sushi without wasabi, but thats 2 years ago now...
.... thats it, im on a mission!
